As far as my eyes can see... General Description Taken the same day and place as My place by the sea in a nice and peaceful place in Batroun, Lebanon. The cloudless sky left me with little choice, I had to focus on the foreground. The green algae was quite interesting so I decided to use them. I am ready to take the road Buy/Preview General Description One of my best photography days, I was blessed with a wonderful light a great cloud formation and a perfect spot. Technical Notes Taken with Canon 40D, Tokina 12-24mm @ 12mm f/16 ISO 100 and a polarizer. Manual focus, exposure and white balance. This is a combination of 3 shots exposed respectively for the sky, sea and rocks and merged manually in Photoshop CS3 to mimic the effect of a ND Grad filter. I was really hesitating about whether I should redo its post processing or keep it as is but finally I’ve decided not to change it so here it is the way I’ve post-processed it in 2005. At the time “Into the darkness” was a shot I was really proud of and it is still holding its value to my eyes today. After the sunsetBuy/Preview General Description This shot was taken the same place and day as "I still remember" and it was one of the most colorful sunsets I remember. Light was changing very fast and the red hue you can see in the clouds lasted a minute or two if I remember well! I found myself looking around quickly between shots to see where the explosion of colors was happening and had to compose my shots rather quickly by my standards. Thunderstorm over BeirutBuy/Preview General Description We had a rare thunderstorm in Lebanon on the 27th of October 2007 and I took some shots. This one is take from "Ain Saade", a village about 600meters above sea level from my balcony. The city that you can see is Beirut, Lebanon's capital. Technical Notes My camera was secured on a tripod and each exposure was about 25 to 30seconds with white balance set to tungsten to compensate for light pollution of the city. This one is a combination of 3 shots each having 1 to 3 bolts in different places and merged in Photoshop using the "lighten" blending mode. After that mainly S-curves to increase contrast.
